
ASHEBORO – The Tractor Supply in Asheboro has now opened a new, extensive Garden Center with resources for people from first-time gardeners to expert horticulturists.
Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO) is the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, and has products for home improvement, agriculture, lawn and garden maintenance, livestock, equine and pet care. These industries have done exceptionally well in the pandemic, with many homeowners spending their time and money on redecorating or landscaping.

The newly opened Garden Center offers a massive new assortment of lawn and garden products, including annuals, perennials, shrubs, decorative accent plants, fruit trees, herbs and vegetables. Customers can also find items from national brands such as Scotts, Miracle-Gro and Bonnie Vegetables, as well as new options for professional landscapers.
“These exciting upgrades have completely transformed our store, making it an even better option for customers,” said Scott Carpenter, manager of the Asheboro Tractor Supply store. “We are so excited to show off our new space, especially the Garden Center, with more lawn and garden products than ever before. We know customers will love these upgrades as much as we do, and we hope to share them with many new faces from the Asheboro community as well.”
The Asheboro Tractor Supply store and its new Garden Center at 1200 East Dixie Drive keep regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Asheboro location has also redesigned the store’s interior to allow customers to shop with improved ease and efficiency, and features customer service upgrades as well as advancements in in-store technology. The store also features a new Customer Service Hub that can quickly provide guidance or assistance along with upgraded digital tools available to help customers conveniently find what they need, according to a press release from Tractor Supply.
As of June 26, 2021, the Tractor Supply Co. operated 1,955 stores in 49 states and an e-commerce website at www.TractorSupply.com.
In the past year, Tractor Supply Company’s stock has risen from $147.73 per share to $188.70 per share, as of today. Company sales increased by 30% last year, and net sales grew by 13.4% in just the past quarter, according to financial reports by TSCO.
The industry of home goods and lawn care has been doing well overall. In fact, sales of residential power lawn and garden equipment grew by 5% in 2020 and is expected to grow by over 3% annually over the next few years. Market research also found that 26% of Americans started their food garden due to the pandemic, a time when socially isolated, outdoors, and at-home activities became popular.
The new renovations at Tractor Supply Co. represent a broader trend of home gardening investments that both companies and consumers are making.
